Why have an Art Directory?
The use is two-fold. One, to provide a listing of local artists and supporters. Two, to help with the artists’ websites gain higher rankings in search engines.
What other benefits does the Markham Art Collective provide?
Besides the obvious resource listings, the Markham Art Collective also encourages discussion between artists and community leaders in order to uphold the importance of the arts and culture sector of our society. We have an online discussion group on LinkedIn and also use Facebook and Twitter.
The Markham Art Collective also strives to provide artists with venues and events to promote their artwork through listings and calls for submissions.
Can anyone add Event Listings?
Yes, but priority will be given to local artists.
